Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's stories about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases caused an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding these situations. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell an award for the Best Report of the year Award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
